The following researchers/laboratories are open to host a PROBio-Africa fellow. Note that fellows can also choose to go to laboratories not listed on this page.
If you are a researcher interested in becoming a host, please use the following form:

Name: Prischi, Filippo
Name: Prischi, Filippo (He / Him)
Research Area(s): Molecular Bases of Disease, Molecular Biophysics, Protein Structure and Folding, RNA
Affiliation: King’s College London
Country: United Kingdom
Scientific Interests:
Our main research interest is to gain a greater understanding of protein regulation and stress responses. Our goal is to understand how the molecular machines that compose signaling pathways work together to transfer information.
We use a cutting-edge multi-disciplinary approach that combines enzymology, computational modelling, biophysics and structural biology. Using X-ray crystallography, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), coupled with Molecular Dynamics simulations (MD) we can visualise macromolecules at atomic and near atomic resolution. At this scale we are able to dissect cellular processes at a molecular level and describe the details at the base of disease development, thereby providing a solid base for medical advance.
This offer applies to trainees/researchers eligible for the following fellowships
PROBio-Africa Fellowships, PROBio-LatAm Fellowships, IUBMB Wood-Whelan Research Fellowships, IUBMB Early-Career Research Fellowships
Other relevant information:
We are especially keen to partner with research groups working in the RNA metabolism and/or AI fields.
