What happens when scientific expertise meets technology, creativity, and a drive to create real-world impact?

Join us for an inspiring conversation with Prof. Marla Trindade (South Africa) and Dr. Rose Gidado (Nigeria) as they share their experiences of taking science beyond the bench. Discover how women in Africa are using science, technology, and innovation to tackle challenges, build new opportunities, and create meaningful impact, all while navigating the obstacles along the way.

This webinar is hosted in collaboration with the IUBMB Trainee Initiative, a global, trainee-led platform connecting early-career scientists through webinars, career development, science communication, and networking opportunities. Through its international webinar series, the Initiative brings trainees closer to scientists and professionals working across academia, industry, entrepreneurship, technology, and beyond.

🌍 Come hear their stories, learn from their journeys, and explore what it means to build a career beyond the bench.
