Our research focusses on the disturbance of iron metabolism induced by inflammatory conditions like obesity. Currently, we study how hepatic iron dysregulation is involved in the progression from metabolic associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) to steatohepatitis. We are also interested in how adipose tissues participate in iron metabolism dysregulation in metabolic diseases.
