Research Area(s): Protein Structure and Folding
Affiliation: University of Oxford
Country: United Kingdom
Scientific Interests:
The Centre of Medicines Discovery (CMD) at the university of Oxford catalyses the discovery and development of new medicines for patients, focussing on early drug discovery in rare disease, anti-infective, neurosciences, oncology and emerging targets. One of the CMD’s technology platforms is the protein crystallography, cryo-EM and discovery small research facility (PXCD-SRF). PXCD-SRF specializes in structure-based drug discovery (SBDD) providing gene-to-structure expertise and efficient crystallographic fragment screening partnered with Diamond Light Source’s XChem facility. Our experimental expertise include protein engineering to facilitate crystallization, high volume protein production from E. coli, crystal optimisation, fragment screening, fragment hit progression and structure analysis.
This offer applies to trainees/researchers eligible for the following fellowships
