Anna McConnell
In nature, non-covalent interactions such as hydrogen bonding are important in a number of processes from the self-assembly of DNA to the recognition of substrates within enzymes. Supramolecular chemistry focuses on exploiting non-covalent interactions between molecules to self-assemble structures that would not be possible using traditional covalent chemistry. In this talk I will discuss my career path in supramolecular chemistry and how I combine research with supporting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in supramolecular chemistry as a member of the Women in Supramolecular Chemistry (WISC) network.
