FEBS/IUBMB Advanced Lecture Course – Cellular Stress and ADP-ribosylation

We are delighted to invite you to the first edition of the “FEBS Advanced Lecture Course on Cellular stress and ADP-ribosylation”, which will be held in Naples, Italy, on 08.11. – 13.11.2021.

We are committed to sharing research advances and sustaining scientific interaction throughout the coronavirus pandemic and are delighted to announce that the afternoon sessions of the course will be accessible online (virtual attendance 2.30 – 7PM, CET). We thus invite all colleagues with travel restrictions to join us online. The registration for the online meeting is possible as of today. Abstracts submitted until October 15th will be considered for a short presentation.

This 5-day course will cover a wide range of established and emerging topics in cellular stress signaling and ADP-ribosylation, from basic concepts, to recent breakthroughs as well as advanced techniques. Students, postdoctoral and senior scientists will all benefit from a combination of tutorials and lectures given by top international experts in this exciting and fast growing field of research.

This first edition includes features, such as outstanding speakers, a generous number of meeting bursaries for abstract-submitting early-career scientists, a small size, a participant versus speaker rate of 6:1, and extensive opportunities for networking with other participants, invited speakers, and sponsors (namely during leisurely meals and the social program). Importantly, the program provides participants with opportunities for presenting and discussing their own work: all poster sessions will be preceded by flash poster presentations, given by up to 70 participants, and up to 12 other participants will be selected to give short talks. Among other features are a “Meet with the speakers” session, which will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions and establish new professional relationships, and the possibility to co-chair a session with an invited speaker.

The whole course (scientific programme, accommodation, and most meals) will be held at the Miramare Hotel in Castellammare di Stabia, a 4-star Hotel suspended between sky and sea in the enchanting and amazing Sorrento peninsula. This hotel features excellent conference facilities, and its several common rooms and outdoor spaces will provide an excellent setting for socializing and networking.
