IUBMB Jubilee Award Lectures

The IUBMB Jubilee Award Lectures are intended to support Plenary Lectures that significantly enhance the quality of a scientific meeting, symposium, annual national scientific meeting, or educational meeting.  The IUBMB encourages applications for IUBMB Jubilee AwardLectures at symposia or annual scientific meetings of the smaller Adhering or Associate Adhering Bodies where the budget may not normally allow Plenary Lectures from outside the geographical region. The IUBMB Jubilee Award Lecturers are recognized for their outstanding contributions to their field. The IUBMB Jubilee Award Lectures were established to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the First International Congress of Biochemistry that was held in Cambridge, England in 1949 and at which the initial steps were taken that led to the formation of IUB (IUBMB, since 1991). Lecturers nominated in this category should be leaders in their field and should have made outstanding contributions in biochemistry and molecular biology.
