IUBMB and SIGMA ALDRICH Corporation Travel Scholarships

IUBMB and the Sigma Aldrich Corporation have provided 15 travel scholarships to allow outstanding young scientists (under 35 on 01.01.2005) from non-FEBS countries to attend both the 2005 FEBS Forum for Young Scientists from June 30 to July 2 in Visegrad at the Danube Bend as well as the 30th FEBS Congress -9th IUBMB Conference from July 2-7 in Budapest.

The 2005 FEBS Forum for Young Scientists is a satellite meeting of the 30th FEBS Congress - 9th IUBMB Conference, organized for PhD students and recently graduated PhDs The Forum will give a unique possibility for outstanding young colleagues from all parts of the world to get to know each other and to discuss both their research data and career possibilities in an informal way.

The joint IUBMB and SIGMA ALDRICH Corporation Travel Scholarships cover all local expenses during the FEBS Forum for Young Scientists including the attendance fee, local transport to and from the Forum and accommodation in a double room. The Scholarship will cover all meals, the get together party and the banquet for all participants during the Forum. Participants' registration fee to the 30th FEBS Congress-9th IUBMB Conference will also be covered. Free accommodation in Hotel Ventura or Summer Hill and an allowance for meals will be provided. Fellowship recipients should mark their poster with the sign: "Supported by IUBMB and SIGMA ALDRICH Corporation Travel Scholarship" to acknowledge the support. We apologize to those who were not selected at this time. We hope they will find a way of alternative support to come to the Congress.
